In a US media report on Wednesday, Osama bin Laden's son Hamza, who was apparently the chosen heir to lead Al-Qaeda, has been killed.
NBC News quoting three US officials reported that they had confirmed information of Hamza bin Laden's death, however, details of the place or date had not been disclosed.
Later, the New York Times also citing two US officials said that they had confirmation of Hamza being killed during the last two years in an operation involving the United States.
When President Donald Trump, was asked by reporters, he said, "I don't want to comment on it".
It may be noted that both the media reports claim that Osama's son may have been killed before a $1 million bounty had been announced on his head in February 2019 by the US State Department.
