Pakistan's permanent representative to the UnitedNation, Maleeha Lodhi has faced an embarrassing situation at an event in NewYork when she was questioned and heckled by a man, who claimed to be aPakistani national.
The man intervened while Lodhi was interacting withthe media persons on the sidelines of the event saying that he had questionsfor the Pakistani official. In a video that went viral shows that when Lodhiwas concluding the press meet, the man got agitated and said, "You can't bedone, I have question for you."
However, the thing did not go well with the Pakistaniofficial who skirted the man's question and walked away after a brief argument.
The man while accusing Lodhi of stealing our money said, "I have a question for you, you cannot be done…what you are doing? For the past 10 years, 15 years, what are you doing?"
Lodhi, while responding to his aggression said, "That'snot the way you ask a question" while another official at the event said, "Weare not replying like this."
However, the man justified his actions saying thatsince Lodhi is an official from Pakistan he had the right to ask her questionsas he was a Pakistani.
The man, while being tried to stop by the officialssaid that people are going to reach to you like this now. He said, "Nobody isgoing to get away anymore…nobody. You guys are stealing our money for 20 years,you guys are thieves, you don't deserve to represent Pakistan."
