UN Declares Marijuana As Not A Drug

In a major move, the Canadian government has decided to legalize Marijuana across the country starting from October 17.

The move is expected to snatch away market share from organized crimes and protect Canada's youth, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Wednesday.

"It is our hope as of October 17 there will be a smooth operation of retail cannabis outlets operated by the provinces with an online mail delivery system operated by the provinces that will ensure that this happens in an orderly fashion," Trudeau said.

"Over the following months and indeed years we will completely replace or almost completely replace the organized crime market on that," he added.

The Senate gave its final approval to the bill to legalize marijuana on Tuesday. Following the approval, Canada is now only the second country in the world to make cannabis legal across the nation.
