In the most hyped about royal wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows at the St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. According to reports, an estimated 1.9 billion people had witnessed the star-studded wedding from various parts of the globe.
Almost 100,000 people turned out to bless the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as they sat in an open-top Ascot Landau for a carriage procession through Windsor.
The royal family through twitter said, "2,640 people were invited from charities close to the couple, as well as 1,200 people who were nominated by their Lord Lieutenants". "Thank you to everyone who came to Windsor and those who followed from around the UK, the Commonwealth, and the world today. Congratulations once again to the newly-married Duke and Duchess of Sussex", it said.
Some of the celebrities who made it to the guest list are Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, George Clooney and his wife Amal, David Beckham and his wife Victoria, Priyanka Chopra and Elton John.
The couple has decided to nest in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, with Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as their neighbours.
