The jet Donald Trump was on was nearly hit by an object that appeared to be a drone on Sunday night near Washington, a Bloomberg report said attributing the news to certain people who bore witness to the event.
The device was reportedly yellow and black in colour and was shaped like a cross.
Other passengers aboard Air Force One – name of the Boeing jet that Trump was flying in- saw the development minutes before the jet landed at 5:54 p.m. at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
The report quoted The White House Military Office and the Air Force's 89th Airlift Wing as saying that they knew about the development and that the matter was under review.
Unmanned devices have become a nuisance for the aviation department in the USA of late. Many incidents involving such devices have been reported in the country.
