India thrashed England by seven wickets in the third and final Twenty-20 (T20) International match at Bristol on Sunday to clinch the three-match series 2-1.
England had posted a score 198 for 9. In reply, Indian opener Rohit Sharma scored his third T-20 ton as Team India achieved the target with eight balls to spare and seven wickets in hand.
Rohit, who made an unbeaten 100 off 56 balls, was adjudged Man of the Match as well as Player of the Series.
It may be mentioned here that this victory was India's sixth consecutive T-20 series win. Also, during the game, MS Dhoni became the first wicket-keeper to take 50 catches in T20s and also the first keeper to take 5 catches in a single T20 match.
Both nations are now scheduled to play a three-match ODI series beginning at Nottingham on Thursday.
