India's campaign ended today at the Korea Open World Tour Super 500 badminton tournament with Saina Nehwal's defeat in the quarter-finals in Seoul today.

Japan's  Nozomi Okuhara,  who was down 16-20 in the first game, reeled off six successive points to defeat Saina Nehwal 15-21, 21-15, 22-20 in the quarters. The contest lasted 59 minutes.

Earlier, the other two Indians in the main draw, Sameer Verma and Vaishnavi Reddy had lost their respective opening round matches to bow out of the competition.

Saina had reached the final of the Indonesia Masters in January and the only tournament she won this year was the Commonwealth Games in April, beating compatriot P V Sindhu in the final at Gold Coast.

She also won a bronze at the 18th Asian Games.
