In a surprising turn, the Forbes' 'World's Highest-Paid Athletes 2018' compilation has not enlisted a single female sportsperson. The all-male list features American boxing champion Floyd Mayweather as the highest paid athlete with an income of $285 million.

Footballer Lionel Messi ranked second in the list followed by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli is the only Indian sportsperson to be featured among the world's highest-paid athletes. Kohli is ranked 83rd with earnings of $24 million.

It may be mentioned here that Serena Williams was the only woman to feature in the top 100 last year and this year, the list does not feature a single female sportsperson.

The list features athletes from 22 countries.
