Cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni sent social media into overdrive soon after the end of the three-match one day international series, as the cricketer was seen taking the match ball from the umpire after the match was over.
Speculating the significance of the move, fans of the former captain came to the conclusion that Dhoni was retiring from all formats of the game. However, the rumours were shut down by Team India coach Ravi Shastri on Thursday.
"That's rubbish. MS is not going anywhere," Ravi Shastri said, revealing that Dhoni took the ball from the umpire to show it to the bowling coach of the team, Bharat Arun.
Former Team India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had announced his retirement from Tests in 2014. However, rumours of his retirement from the game altogether have been sparking up on social media from time to time.
Dhoni's captaincy had lead the national team to the World Cup trophy in 2011, World Twenty20 trophy in 2007 as well as the ICC Champions trophy in 2013.
