The players for the Indian team to participate in the World Cup 2019 is likely to be announced on April 15. According to reports, all the finalised 10 teams have to be submitted the International Cricket Council (ICC) by April 23. The World Cup 2019 will be held in England and Wales from May 30.
As per a news agency PTI report, the date has been decided in meeting held on Monday between the Committee of Administrators (CoA), along with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) office-bearers.
Speaking on who would make it to the team blue, Captain Virat Kohli stated that IPL 2019's performance will not be a factor in choosing the squad.
It may be noted that the No.4 spot in the Indian batting order has been the talk of the town with many players emerging eligible for the No.4 slot.
KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant also are in the running for the spot. Ambati Rayudu was also on the list of India's No.4 however, poor performances in the ODI series against New Zealand and Australia at home seem to have scuppered his chances.
