India team picked for one-off test against Afghanistan; series against England and Ireland

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday met in Bengaluru to pick the team to represent India in the one-off historic test match against Afghanistan and for the ODI/T20 series against England and Ireland.

In Virat Kohli's absence, who will be representing Surrey in English county cricket, will lead the team against Afghanistan. However, he has been dropped for the ODI and T20 series against England and Ireland.

Batsmen Lokesh rahul and Karun Nair makes a comeback for the test match while Shardul Thakur replaces Jasprit Bumrah in the squad.

Ambati Rayudu, leading run-getter in the ongoing IPL 2018 with 423 from 10 innings at a strike-rate of 151.61 for Chennai Super Kings, is making a comeback to the Indian limited over set up after a two year gap. Sunrisers Hyderabad's Siddarth Kaul also features in the T20 squad following his stunning performance in the ongoing IPL season.
