Assam's golden girl Hima Das added another medal to her kitty at the ongoing Asian Games in Jakarta as team India secured a silver medal in 4X400m mixed relay event.
The Indian team comprising of Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Poovamma Machettira, Hima Das and Rajiv Arokia finished the race with a time of 3:15.71.
This was the first ever mixed relay event introduced in an Asiad and will also be a discipline in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
India are likely to field the same team comprising Hima in the Olympics games too and this proved a good beginning to India's run up to Tokyo 2020.
Bahrain won the gold medal by clocking 3:11.89 while Kazakhstan took home the bronze with a time of 3:19.52.
India has ended Day 10 with 50 medals – 9 gold, 19 silver and 22 bronze.
