On day 3, Saurabh Chaudhary and Abhishek Verma clinched gold and bronze medals respectively in the Men's 10 metre Air Pistol finals.

Wrestler Divya Kakran  beat Taiwan's Wenling Chen 10-0 in her bronze medal bout to win the medal by technical superiority. She became the third Indian to win a medal at the 2018 Asian Games. In Wushu , Santosh Kumar beat Thailand's Paokrathok Phithak in the Men's Sanda 56 kg Quarterfinals.

Shooter Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sranobat  has entered the finals of 25m Pistol Finals in the Asian Games 2018. 16 year old Manu scored a total of 593 to top qualifying while Rahi scored 589 to book her spot at the finals with 7th place.

In the Women's Singles Ankita Raina qualified for the semi-final, assuring India of another medal.

In  Men's 50m Freestyle  Virdhawal Khade finishes fourth . In tennis  Mixed Doubles Round of 16  India's Rohan Bopanna/Ankita Raina beat Jeamoon Lee/Nari Kim of South Korea 6-3, 2-6, 11-9 .

Indian women's hockey team clinched a massive win against  Kazakhstan as they won their Pool B encounter by a margin of 21-0.

India now has 3 gold,3 silver and 4 bronze in their medal tally.
