Having witnessed a mixed opening day at the 18th edition of Asian Games, India's medal hopes continue to rest in shooters and wrestlers.

Indian shuttler PV Sindhu defeated Japans Akane Yamaguchi in Team Quarterfinals. On the other hand, Nozomi Okuhara guides herself to a 21-11 win over India's medal favourite Saina Nehwal in the opening game.

Indian shooters Deepak Kumar and Ravi Kumar made their way to the finals in men's 10m air rifle. In men's Tennis Singles Prajnesh Gunneswaran will take on Ramkumar Ramanathan.

Meanwhile on Day 3 of the games, India will take on Indonesia In men's badminton While India will face Hong Kong and china in Pool F of  men's Volleyball.

In men's Kabbadi action, India will face against with Korea in Group A.

In Wushu, Santosh Kumar will represent India in Men's Sanda – 56kg in Round of 16 and Narendra Garewal in Men's Sanda – 65kg in Round of 16.

India won their first medal on day 1 as shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar bagged bronze in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event. Wrestler Bajrang Punia on the other hand bagged India's first gold this Asian Games.
