Just four days after humiliating Pakistan in a Group A encounter, India once again thrashed their arch rivals in the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai on Sunday.
India defeated Pakistan comprehensively by nine wickets, which turned out to be a one-sided game in the end as Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan made a mockery of the modest target set by their rivals.
Powered by 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma's unbeaten 111 and his opening partner Dhawan's devastating 114, India easily chased down the victory target of 238 in only 39.3 overs.
Following the win, India achieved its biggest win ever against Pakistan in terms of number of wickets lost.
Earlier, brilliant bowling by pacer Jasprit Bumrah and the magical spin duo of spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal restricted Pakistan to 237 for 7 in the 50 overs, after they opted to bat first after winning the toss.
With the win, India took a giant stride towards summit clash of the six-nation Asia Cup tournament.
India, who has almost booked a place in the final, will next take on Afghanistan tomorrow in the Super Four Clash.
