Assam votes 78.05% in IInd Phase

Assam scored 77.67 percent of votes in the second phase with Mangaldoi recording the highest polling with 81.79 followed closely by Nagaon – 81.08%.

The polling was peaceful and went off with minor glitch in EVMs as well as some road mishaps affecting EVMs. However, the poll body yet to decide whether they will do any repolling for the road mishap at Bokajan.

  • Silchar – 73.89%
  • Autonomous – 73.37%
  • Mangaldoi – 82.73%
  • Nagaon – 81.08%

Notably, if you look at the assembly segment-wise, the top five are

1. Dalghaon- 90.85%
2. Lahorighat – 88%
3. Hojai – 85.74%
4. Jamunamukh – 84.56%
5. Lumding – 84.05%
