In a recent announcement by the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway authorities, special train services are set to continue to manage increased passenger demand.
These include Train No. 07029 (Agartala – Secunderabad) running every Friday from July 5 to October 4, 2024, and its return journey, Train No. 07030 (Secunderabad – Agartala) every Monday from July 1 to September 30, 2024.
Similarly, Train No. 03028 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) will operate on Thursdays from July 4 to August 1, 2024, with its counterpart Train No. 03027 (Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) on Wednesdays from July 3 to July 31, 2024. Train No. 03106 (Jagiroad – Sealdah) will run on Saturdays from July 6 to July 27, 2024, and Train No. 03105 (Sealdah – Jagiroad) on Fridays from July 5 to July 26, 2024.
However, due to developmental works, certain trains face alterations. Train services like the Guwahati – Jammu Tawi Express (Train No. 05656), Guwahati – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special (Train No. 04679), Amritsar – New Jalpaiguri Special (Train No. 04654), Jammu Tawi – Guwahati Express (Train No. 05655), and New Jalpaiguri – Amritsar Special (Train No. 04653) scheduled for July 1, 3, 4, and 5, 2024, have been cancelled.
Additionally, trains such as Silchar – Thiruvananthapuram Central Express (Train No. 12508), Dibrugarh – Kanniyakumari Express (Train No. 22504), Guwahati – SMVT Bengaluru Express (Train No. 12510), Silchar – Coimbatore Express (Train No. 12516), Chandigarh – Dibrugarh Express (Train No. 15904), and Dibrugarh – Chandigarh Express (Train No. 15903) will be diverted via alternative routes during their respective journeys in late June and early July.
Furthermore, the timings of trains like Katihar – Amritsar Express (Train No. 15707), Guwahati – Jammu Tawi Express (Train No. 15653), and Jammu Tawi – Guwahati Express (Train No. 15652) on July 3, 2024, have been rescheduled to accommodate these changes. These adjustments aim to minimize inconvenience while facilitating essential railway infrastructure upgrades.
