‘Statue of Unity’ Sees Record 27,000 Visitors In One Day

More than 27,000 people paid a visit to the Statue of Unity in Gujarat's Narmada district, a record since the time it was inaugurated, that is, on October 31 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Within 10 days of being opened for the public, the Statue of Unity is witnessing heavy footfall. For the second consecutive day on Saturday, the ticket window at the statue had to be closed within a few hours of opening.
As many as 28,409 tourists, the highest so far, visited the statue on Saturday, taking the single day collection to Rs 48.44 lakh.

Touted as the tallest structure in the world, the Sardar Patel memorial saw the maximum number of people visiting the structure.

The entry ticket for the statue and viewing gallery is Rs. 350 for adults and Rs.200 for children in the 3-15 age groups. Apart from the statue, people can go to the Visitors Centre, souvenir shop, exhibition hall, viewing gallery among other attractions.
