State Bank of India Monday said it would waive all outstanding loans taken by 23 CRPF personnel who were killed in the Pulwama terror attack.
The bank announced a special initiative for the CRPF jawans who were martyred in a dreadful terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The CRPF personnel were under the Defence salary package in which the bank provides insurance of Rs 30 lakhs to each Defence personnel. The bank is taking step to expedite release of insurance money to the next of kin of the martyred soldiers, In a press release, the bank stated.
SBI has also started a dedicated portal to raise funds for the family of the martyrs and has urged its employees to contribute for the same.
