An Indian Army soldier is among the three men accused of raping a 19-year-old college student in Haryana earlier this week, the police said on Saturday.
They are yet to arrest a single suspect four days after young woman was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by a group of men in Haryana.
Former Haryana Chief Minister B. S. Hooda said that the alleged gangrape of a 19-year-old woman in Harayana's Rewari was the failure of the government.
On Sunday, Rewari Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Duggal has been transferred while Rahul Sharma took over as the new SP.
Meanwhile, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar summoned Director General of Police (DGP), BS Sandhu to know the progress in the investigation of the case.
Khattar also directed Sandhu to ensure the arrest of all accused at the earliest.
It may be mentioned that the girl was abducted and gang-raped after being drugged on Wednesday in Haryana's Narnaul area. In the FIR registered at Kanina, police have identified three accused- Pankaj, Manish and Nishu.
