The process of onlineregistration has begun for girls for admissions into Sainik Schools for thenext academic session. As of now, only five Sainik Schools have been selectedfor girls for admissions to class six.
The schools are – Bijapur inKarnataka, Kodagu in Karnataka, Chandrapur in Maharashtra, Ghorakhal in Uttrakhand,and Kalikiri in Andhra Pradesh. Interested students can avail the applicationform on www.sainikschooladmission.in. The last date of registration is December6. The examination will be held on January 5 next year.
It may be mentioned herethat strengthening Prime Minister Narendra Modi's motto of 'Beti Bachao BetiPadhao', Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has recently passed a proposal toadmit girl students in Sainik schools from the 2020-21 academic sessions. Theadmission will be done in a phased manner.
