Beginning a two-day trip to his Lok Sabha constituency, Prime MInister Narendra Modi is slated to hold a road show in Varanasi today. In the early part of the day, the PM will address two rallies in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh after which he will move to his parliamentary constituency towards the evening.
BJP president Amit Shah and leaders of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parties, which includes Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)'s Parkash Singh Badal and Janata Dal (United)'s Nitish Kumar, among others will also participate in the rally.
It may be noted that the PM will file his nomination papers from the aforementioned seat on April 26 which is tomorrow.
Modi's road show will start from the gates of the famous Banaras Hindu University, which will pass through ancient temples and ghats before ending in Dashashwamedh ghat after which he will also attend the evening aarti at this ghat.
According to reports, the PM before filing nominations will address a gathering of BJP workers and proceed to the famous Kal Bhairav temple in Varanasi which goes polling on May 19.
