PM to file nominations from Varanasi today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to file his nomination papers today from his own constituency, Varanasi.

It is for the second term that PM Modi will be contesting from Varanasi, which will go polling in the 7th and final phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 19.

On Thursday, the prime minister held a mega road show in the city attracting huge response from the people.

There were much speculations of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of contesting elections from the constituency to face off Modi, however, it came to an end when the national party declared Ajay Rai for the seat.
