NASA on Friday stated that theywere yet to determine the "precise location" of Vikram lander. Thespace agency has released high-resolution images captured by its LunarReconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) during its flyby of the lunar region whereIndia's Vikram Lander was supposed to land.
"Vikram had a hard landing andthe precise location of the spacecraft in the lunar highlands has yet to bedetermined," NASA said.
It may be mentioned here that theVikram Lander attempted a soft landing on South Pole of Moon between SimpeliusN and Manzinus C craters before losing communication with ISRO on 7 September.
