Mumbai: Taj hotels get bomb threat call from Pak terror outfit

A bomb threat was made to the Hotel Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba and the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra in Mumbai from the Pakistan terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)  since Monday midnight.

The caller threatened to blow-up the two hotels in Mumbai. Security has been tightened at and around the hotels following the threatening calls from Pakistan.

The first call was received at around 12:30 am by the Taj Mahal palace staffers. The call was from a Pakistani number. The second call was received by the staffers at the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra. The caller, from Pakistan, threatened to blow up the hotel in a similar manner. Both the calls were received from the same numbers.

The hotels remain shut for operation presently due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, the Mumbai Police are taking all possible measures to secure the area.
