Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, at the nationalexecutive meeting of her party on Sunday, blamed Samajwadi Party (SP) presidentAkhilesh Yadav for the humiliating defeat of their alliance in Lok Sabhaelections.
She further said that since the election results, Yadav hadneither visited nor talked to her over phone.
Mayawati further said that Akhilesh had an important say inseat-sharing between the alliance partners and played a pivotal role in theselection of candidates. "Akhileshasked me to field minimum Muslim candidates as it might lead to polarisation,"Mayawati said, adding, "It was a bad advice and it proved to be an importantfactor in the defeat of the alliance.
The party also discussed otherimportant issues regarding the removal of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) andholding elections through ballot papers all across the country.
