Husband of boxing champion MC Mary Kom, K Onkholer will contest in the Manipur Assembly elections slated to be held next year.
On Saturday during a public meeting, Onkholer himself announced the development.
He will contest in the upcoming Manipur Assembly elections from the Saikot constituency in the Churachandpur district.
Onkholer after announcing that he will contest the Manipur Assembly elections said, "There are still many things that need to be done for the overall development of the constituency,"
Although Onkholer announced that he will contest in the upcoming Assembly elections, he is yet to make any kind of announcement on which party he is joining, reported Nenow.
There is a high probability that Onkholer will contest the elections as an independent candidate.
Reports also suggest that Onkholer is hoping for a BJP ticket to contest the elections.
