KarnatakaChief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and the Congress party moved the Supreme Court onFriday. They accused the governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala of interferingwith the assembly proceedings during the debate on trust vote.
Meanwhile,the trust vote has been postponed till Monday (July 22).
Earlier, in the day, the Governor sent a missive to the CM to prove his majority by 1:30 pm. Later the Speaker adjourned the House till 3 pm, following a massive uproar. After this, the Governor further directed that the trust vote should be completed by 6 pm. On which, CM Kumaraswamy said, "I have respect for the Governor. But the second love letter from the Governor has hurt me."
TheCM moved the SC challenging the Governor's directive to the government.Kumaraswamy termed it as a violation of well-settled law laid down by thecourt.
