At least 24 MLAs on Saturday have been sworn in as ministers in the newly formed government in Karnataka led by chief minister Siddaramaiah.
The newly inducted ministers include HK Patil, Krishna Byregowda, N Cheluvarayaswamy, K Venkatesh, HC Mahadevappa, Eshwar Khandre, Kyathasandra N Rajanna, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Sharanabasappa Darshanapur, Shivanand Patil, Timmapur Ramappa Balappa, SS Mallikarjun, Tangadagi Shivaraj Sangappa, Sharanaprakash Rudrappa Patil, Mankal Vaidya, Laxmi R Hebbalkar, Rahim Khan, D Sudhakar, Santosh S Lad, NS Boseraju, Suresha BS, Madhu Bangarappa, MC Sudhakar, B Nagendra.
The oath was administered to the new ministers by Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot.
With the newly inducted ministers, the cabinet has reached its full strength of 34.
It may be mentioned that on May 20, Siddaramaiah took oath as the chief minister of the state along with DK Shivakumar as the Deputy CM.
At the event, eight MLAs also took as oath as ministers in the new Karnataka cabinet. The ministers were- G Parameshwara, KH Muniyappa, KJ George, MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy and BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan.
