JEE Main 2020: 7.12% Drop In Registered Candidates

After issuing the JEE Main 2020 admit card for the September session on August 17, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has now released the registration statistics for JEE Main 2020. The authorities have witnessed a 7.12 percent decrease in the total number of candidates who registered for the JEE Main 2020 September session as compared to the January session.

The test organising body informed for the September session of the Joint Entrance Examination 2020, a total of 8,58,273 candidates have registered. In the JEE Main 2020 January session, 9,21,261 had registered only for BTech.

The JEE Main exam dates 2020 are September 1 to 6. NTA will be conducting the entrance test in online mode at 605 Centres for B.Tech./B.E. and 489 centres for B.Arch. and B.Planning located in 224 cities throughout the country and 08 cities abroad. JEE Main 2020 exam will be held in two slots. The first session of the JEE Main exam 2020 will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM while the second session from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

NTA has introduced precautionary measures due to the outbreak of the coronavirus infection. The JEE Main 2020 admit card has laid down detailed guidelines for candidates to follow on the exam day.

Alongside JEE Main admit card, candidates will have to bring a simple transparent ballpoint pen, valid photo ID, and extra photographs that would be pasted on the attendance sheet. A self-declaration form will be provided to candidates that will record their health details, recent travel history, etc. Candidates would have to bring the self-declaration form to the examination venue and sign it in the presence of an invigilator. Masks will be provided to candidates before entering the examination hall.
