Public hearing in Kulbhushan Jadhav case from today

India requested the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday to declare the trial Kulbhushan Jadhav by a Pakistani military court as 'unlawful' and said it has 'hopelessly failed' to satisfy even the minimum standards of due process.

The top court began the four-day public hearing on Monday. Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage.

"Jadhav's trial by a Pakistani military court hopelessly failed to satisfy even the minimum standards of due process," said Harish Salve, who was representing India.
