The military dialogue between higher officials of India and China has shown results for mutual disengagement where Chinese and Indian armies have pulled back from three friction sites at the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, various reports stated on Monday.
The military disengagement from the patrolling points at Galwan Valley, Hot Springs area and Gogra took place after three rounds of commander level talks in June.
A buffer zone has been created between the Indian and Chinese troops. The pullback was confirmed after a survey was undertaken to verify if China had acted on its assurances of a mutual withdrawal, NDTV reported.
News18 had previously reported that China had agreed the broad paramaters to pull back its troops from patrolling points 14 (Galwan Valley), 15 and 17 (Hot Springs and Gogra) after a mutual understanding during the June 30 Corps Commander-level talks.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry had on June 19 claimed the Galwan Valley was located on the Chinese side of the LAC in the western section of the Sino-Indian border.
