Foreign leaders mourn Sushma Swaraj’s demise

The demise of veteran leader Sushma Swaraj has not only left India mourning but foreign leaders condoled her death as well.

Nepal's Prime Minister K.P.Sharma Oli has expressing condolences in a tweet, said that he is deeply shocked to learn of the passing away of Smt. Sushma Swaraj.

Expressing grief, former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai in a tweet, said, deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Sushma Swaraj – a tall leader, a great orator and people's person.

Ambassador of France to India, Alexandre Ziegler, lauded Sushma Swaraj, for her contribution in strengthening Indo-French ties.

Abdulla Shahid, Foreign Minister of Maldives, grieved the demise of Sushma Swaraj and described her as a "Stateswoman extraordinaire, diplomat par excellence and a warm human being". He termed her as Key architect of renewed Maldives-India friendship. 

Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said, throughout her long and inspired service to the Indian people, she brought wit, warmth and strength in her many distinguished roles. 

President of UN General Assembly, María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés today paid her tributes to former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who breathed her last yesternight.
