AAP Senior Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of intimidating political leaders and manipulating other parties to serve their interests. He pointed out that despite being major parties with state governments in important states like Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) were supporting an undemocratic and unconstitutional bill proposed by the BJP.

Quoting famous lines, Raghav Chadha said “'Kuchh toh majboorian rahin hongi, yun hi koi bewafa nahi hota.” He said that the Delhi Ordinance Bill aimed to centralise powers and undermine the autonomy of state governments, posing a serious threat to the federal structure of the country. He highlighted that the YSRCP and BJD might have their own compulsions for supporting such a bill, but he believed it was against what is right and in violation of democratic principles.

According to Raghav Chadha, this bill's implementation in Delhi would set a dangerous precedent, potentially leading to the same fate for all non-BJP states in the future.

Emphasising the significance of Delhi for the AAP, he mentioned that the party held the people's love and support. He asserted that BJP's frustration over its inability to win elections in Delhi for 25 years was evident in their attempts to curtail the powers of the state government through various ordinances, bills, and notifications. However, he maintained that the real power of the AAP lay in the love and blessings it received from the people of Delhi.

The MP strongly criticised the bill, labelling it as anti-national. He believed that those who supported such a law would be remembered in history as anti-nationals, while those opposing it would be seen as patriots. Despite facing a numerical disadvantage in the Lok Sabha, Raghav Chadha expressed the determination of the AAP and the united INDIA bloc to fight against the bill in the Rajya Sabha.

Shifting focus to Manipur, he expressed deep concern over the ongoing unrest in the state for more than 90 days. He criticised the central government's lack of action and support for the people of Manipur during this difficult time. He informed that a 21-member delegation from the INDIA bloc had visited Manipur to understand the situation firsthand, and they intended to request the President to implement President's Rule in the state under Article 356 of the Indian Constitution to dismiss the BJP-led government of Biren Singh.

In addition to Manipur, Raghav Chadha expressed worry about recent scenes of communal violence in Haryana. He questioned the BJP governments' ability to maintain law and order, particularly in light of Punjab's successful management of law and order under the leadership of Sardar Bhagwant Mann and the AAP.

Raghav Chadha argued that the inefficiency shown by the BJP in handling law and order in Manipur and Haryana indicated either their incapability to stop violence or their complicity in perpetuating it for political gains. He believed that the BJP's actions were not in line with the principles of a democratic and inclusive society.
