BJP To Hold Parliamentary Meeting on July 2

The BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) parliamentary meeting likely to be chaired by Prime MinisterNarendra Modi will be held on July 2.

The meeting will have a discussion on the high-profile Triple Talaq Bill and the ruling party's parliamentary strategy especially in the Rajya Sabha among others.

Themuch talked about Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019also known as Triple Talaq draft law was introduced in the Lok Sabha on June 21after heated exchange of words and debate on the merits of the proposedlegislation and also procedural matters.

A partycommuniqué however asked all party members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha toattend the meeting.

Among otherissues to be discussed in the meeting are matters related to violence in WestBengal, especially in the context of group clashes at Bhatpara in North 24Parganas.

The parliamentarymeeting will be the first of its kind during the ongoing session and after J PNadda was elected party's working president. This will also be the firstmeeting since four TDP Rajya Sabha MPS joined the saffron party.
