More than 15 people, mostly children, were killed andseveral others sustained serious injuries after fire broke out at a coachingcentre in Gujarat's Surat on Friday evening. According to reports, the coachingcentre was located at the third and fourth floor of the building.
Speaking to media, Surat Police Commissioner said, "Fifteenpeople have died in the fire, toll may rise."
On the other hand, in a video that went viral on social media, students were seen jumping out of the second floor of the building to save their lives.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced a financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh each to the families of children who died in the incident. Rupani further ordered an investigation into the incident.
