Arun Jaitley slams Rahul’s Minimum Income Plan

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi as well as his "groundbreaking measure" to end poverty and said that the Congress party has betrayed India for more than seven decades.

No political party has betrayed India for more than seven decades other than the Congress Party. It gave people of India slogans & very little resources to implement them. However, PM @narendramodi ji has already given the poor what Congress promises.

Jaitley termed it as the "biggest bluff" of Rahul Gandhi and Congress. "The latest announcement of the Congress Party if tested on simple arithmetic then Rs 72,000 is less than 2/3rd of the existing DBT under Modi government, which averages Rs 1.068 lakh annually. "Congress gave people of India slogans and very little resources to implement them, but PM Modi has already given the poor what Congress promises," said the Union Minister.

Earlier, Congress president Rahul Gandhi announced Rs. 72,000 annually to families belonging to poorest of the poor category, if voted to power in the Lok Sabha elections.
