The six-year-old boy who was trapped in a 200-feet-deep borewell in Maharashtra was rescued this morning. The boy was rescued after a 16-hour operation.
A joint team of police and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) worked through the night to reach Ravi, the boy and bring him out. His father was a construction worker and they live at a makeshift camp near the borewell, where a road construction is going on.
"The operation was very critical and required meticulous planning to avoid any injury to the child," an NDRF official said. Meanwhile his health check-up is going on.
