The coalition government in Karnataka of Congress-Janata Dal-Secular appears to be wobbled on the edge as 11 lawmakers are set to resign while Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is still in the US on a private trip.

Eight Congress and three JDS legislators submitted their resignations to the speaker on Saturday afternoon while he was not in the office.

Alawmaker of JDS, H Vishwanath said that they have given their resignation tothe speaker's office and that they have brought the same to the notice of theGovernor as well.

However,Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara and Shivakumar called an emergency meetingof legislators and corporators.

The coalitionwill lose majority in the 224-member Assembly if the Speaker accepts the 14resignations as its strength will come down to 104 against the BJP's 105. The currentstrength of coalition including those who have resigned is 118 besides thespeaker.

Meanwhile,Speaker Ramesh Kumar while talking about the legislators' resignation said thatthe government will decide the fall or survive in the Assembly.
