Youth thrashed for making anti-national remark

In a sensational incident, a youth from Ledo town in Tinsukia district has been beaten up by an angry mob on Monday for his anti-national remark on social networking site facebook.

The youth has been identified as Khairul Islam, who is student of Ledo Junior College. He made those remarks in the wake of Pulwama attack, where 40 CRPF jawans were martyred.

An angry crowd following his comment on facebook detained him and thrashed him before handing him over to local police. Notably, his father is an ex-army man.
