Mohammad Sanaullah Loses Police Job

The arrest of retired Indian Army Official Mohammad Sanaullah, after he was declared a 'foreigner' by the Foreigners' Tribunal (FT), has created controversy all around.

The Major General of the Narengi Army Camp's 51 no. Sub Area has prioritised the matter of utmost concern.

The Indian Army has decided to move the Supreme Court against the decision put forth by the FT.

The Major General called on the former army official Sanaullah's wife Sanima Begum to take stock of the his situation. The Army official also assured her of taking the matter to the Apex Court against FT's decision.

On the other, it has been gathered that Sanima Begum will move the Gauhati High Court pertaining to the matter.

Sanaullah's wife has urged the President and the Prime Minister of India to investigate into the matter of arrest on charges of being a foreigner and order legal measures in the same light. She has also demanded the release of the arrested Army official before Eid.

It may be noted that Sanaullah came to know of him being tried for being a foreigner only when he went to inquire about his name missing from the 2018 NRC list.

The ex-army personnel's wife has also informed that it is a conspiracy to frame her husband as an illegal immigrant.

In 2018, during foreigner's complaint registration they were stationed at various parts of the country which led them being not informed of the complaint, said Sanima Begum.

Sanima has also made allegations of a larger conspiracy being involved in the matter despite the Indian Army Official having legal documents of the years 1906, 1936 and 1951.
