A UnitedLiberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) cadre surrendered before theCharaideo Police on Wednesday. According to reports, the ULFA-I cadre has beenidentified as Dawol Jyoti Dutta alias Dior Asom.
The Charaideo Police informed that Dutta had joined the outlawed faction ULFA-I in March 2017 and was a crucial member of ULFA-I. He was working as Personal Security Officer of Dhrishti Rajkhowa before he was apprehended by Jorhat Police in November 2018. He rejoined the outfit in July 2019 after he was released on bail.
The cadresurrendered a Chinese pistol and 4 rounds of live bullets.
