Sensationstill prevails in Kalaigaon and other parts of Udalguri district, following ascience teacher identified as Jadab Saharia and his family members allegedlyattempted to sacrifice a child on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Jadab Saharia's son, Pulakesh Saharia, who was admitted at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) died on Sunday. He had sustained bullet injuries when police resorted to firing to bring the situation under control on Saturday.
The family allegedly attempted to sacrifice the child. The locals said that the child is Saharia's relative. Prior to their attempt to sacrifice the child, Saharia and his family members set ablaze their house and destroyed their personal vehicle (a WagonR). The family members of Saharia also stripped off their clothes and were chanting of mantras, locals had alleged.
