Assam police's strong vigil against the presence of militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen in the State led to another three people being detained for alleged connection with the terrorist group.
Hojai Police on Monday detained three people for their alleged connection with Hizbul Mujahideen. One of them, identified as Riyazuddin, was detained from Nagoan's Kasua.
The other two detained men have been identified as Baharul Islam and Joinal.
On September 13, Uttar Pradesh police arrested one of Assam's most wanted terrorist Kamruz Zaman who had joined the Hizbul Mujaheedin in Jammu & Kashmir.
Following Zaman's arrest, Assam police are carrying out an intense operation in the state to find more links of any operative from the terrorist outfit.
Till now, three have been arrested while four more have been detained for their connection with the outfit.
