This Independence Day is set to be a three-day event andwill be celebrated from August 13 to August 15, said the Kamrup (M) DC.
Addressing the media at a press conference today, the DC BiswajitPegu informed that the move came after the orders of Assam Chief MinisterSarbananda Sonowal.
Pegu stated, "Three different schedules have been planned for the three days". "Patriotic Films will be shown to Students for free and will be shown at every cinema hall in Guwahati on August 15 at 2 PM", he added.
Pertaining to the grand event, the DC urged the Bol Bamdevotees to restrain themselves from littering on the roads and that specificareas will be allotted for dumping wastes.
The DC also informed that a special team will supervise allthe facilities.
