Interestingly the main labour unions, which is under the control of Congress, have not come out openly against the killing even as the authorities have arrested more than 30 people, many of them tea garden resident but yet nt employees of the tea estate.
Non-tea estate working population of the tea garden is a big headache as their number is almost 40% and they do not have any loyalty to the gardens.
