The first-ever Guwahati-Dhaka flight service has been started on Monday by Spicejet from Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Borjhar which has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Spicejet Airlines has formally started the flight service under the IACSscheme.
The daily flight will depart from Guwahati Airport at 11: 35 AM and willarrive Dhaka Airport at 1:20 PM. One must take into consideration of timedifference between Guwahati and Dhaka by 30 minutes as Bangladesh time is halfan hour ahead of Indian time.
Simultaneously, the flight which will depart from Dhaka Airport at 2:10PMwill arrive Guwahati Airport at 2:35 PM.
The commuters can fly at a very cheap rate from Guwahati to Dhaka andvice-versa. The travelers can travel from Guwahati to Dhaka at Rs. 3355.
Although the Assam Government has taken the initiative of introducing flightsto Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Yangoon and Kathmandu but initially theservice has been started to two foreign countries.
