In first of its kind in Dispur, the members of Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) have staged a naked protest against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, in front of Janata Bhawan on Friday.
The protesters have been identified as Harakanta Das, Bubul Das and Sonaram Das. Later naked protesters were detained by the Police.
Notably, members of KMSS had staged naked protest in Delhi on January 7. It may be noted that no organizations of Assam had staged any naked protest in front of Janata Bhawan earlier.
It should be also noted that Assam and other Northeastern States have been witnessing massive protest against the much debated CAB.
