Boxer Shiva Thapa and Loveleena Borgohain are selected to represent Indian boxing team for forthcoming Asian Boxing Championship to be held at Thailand in April 2019.
The Championships are scheduled to be held in the Thai capital of Bangkok from April 19 to 28.
Enthusiastic Thapa has started the new season on a positive note with a silver medal at the GeeBee Tournament in Finland this month.
Earlier, Thapa won medals in three previous editions of the Asian showpiece event — gold in 2013, bronze in 2015 and silver in 2017. Meanwhile, Manipur boxer M C Mary Kom has decided to give it a miss this time to focus on the world championships and Olympic qualification.
