Seven killed in three separate road mishaps on Sunday morning

Seven persons were killed in three separate road mishaps in Assam on Sunday morning. At Samuguri in Nagaon district , a mishap took place on NH 37 when a speeding WagonR hit a Truck coming from opposite direction. Five persons died on the spot.

The ill fated Wagon R was totally devastated in the accident. Four of the five victims were identified as Safil Islam, Sariful Islam, Abubakkar Siddiqur and Rasidul Haque. The driver of the vehicle is yet to be identified.

In another accident at BorChapori in Bokakhat under Golaghat district , one person was killed when an ASTC bus hit a Tata Magic. The victim was identified as Babul Gupta.

In another incident, a woman was hit by a speeding motorcycle in the morning at Mushalpur in Baksa district. The woman died one the spot. In Silchar, clash occured between locals and truck drivers following a head on collision between a Auto and a goods carrying Truck at Rangpur in Assam – Manipur border area. Police resort to lathi charge to control the situation .

Several Trucks were also damaged in stone pelting.
